In this manner, CarboQuimica is working on solving different challenges faced by sectors such as Nutrition. Through initiatives such as #SinDesperdicio #Bogotá lead by Bogota´s administration, the InterAmerican Development Bank and other entities, we have nominated a biobased coating project to solve the problem of fruit and vegetable waste. CarboQuimica´s project has been selected among 11 others, from a pol of 84 companies that submitted their bids in Colombia.
Biobased emulsifiers for Cosmetics
CarboQuímica has just developed a portfolio of biobaseds emulsifiers based made from sugar for skin and hair care products such as shampoo, conditioner, masks, butters and lotions.
Our Technology Center launched this project in 2018 and in 2019 we speeded it up thanks to the support of the Bio Hub for Bogota, an initiative by the Bogota administration, Bogota Chamber of Commerce and Biointropic.
Some of our clients have already registered formulations at INVIMA, where our emulsifiers are included.
